Soccer5 is a game played 5 against 5 , in which each team fields five players (four outfield players and a goalkeeper). The pitch width is betweeen a minimum of 15m and a maximum of 25m and its lenght is between a minimum of 30m and a maximum of 50m. Matches are played indoors or outdoors on artificial grass or natural grass pitches that may be enclosed within boards to prevent the ball from leaving the playing area and keep the game constantly flowing. The ball can be of size #4 or #5 depending the event.
The SWC advocates for its events the form of the game with the boards which are integral part of the game and takes a specific stamp. The pioneering countries of Soccer5 are Germany, Austria, Switzerland and France with achievements of major events since the 80s. For the last 10 years, several events, centers and leagues of Soccer5 have extended around the world mainly in Spain, Portugal, Canada, USA, Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, Morocco, Algeria, South Africa and UAE among several others.
